We can all laugh when a phone ends up in the pool but when that phone happens to be your Xperia Z2, then it’s no joke. Water damage can be a serious issue and even though the Z2 is considered waterproof, it isn’t invulnerable to water. In fact, Sony will not guarantee a water damaged Z2 so think long and hard before you try and take that underwater selfie.
If your Z2 is showing water damage, turn it off immediately, place it in a bowl of rice and the bowl into the sun, and give us a call immediately. If we can get the phone promptly we have an 80% success rate. If the phones come in a lot later the success rate falls to 50%, which is still decent odds.
