It was released the 9th of February 2013, the best looking Sony smartphone ever. Customers tell us how much they love to use the phone, no doubt the specs are up there with the best!
Mostly made of durable glass, a shatter-resistant layer has been added on the front and back of the phone while a polyamide glass-fiber frame connects the latter. Although this is what Sony has done, advertising there phone as shock resistant, it seems that these are breaking just as easy as it’s competitor and not only from hitting the concrete, from being bent as well.
Two other remarkable features are it’s IPX5/7 and IP5X ratings, simply put the phone is dust and water resistant. It can handle being submerged under water up to a depth of 1 meter for 30mins or more and designed to steer dust away so the phone can maintain its original look longer. Unfortunately the rubber plugs that cover the charge port, SD and sim card slots seem to wear out after little use which compromises this feature. Don’t stress… we can replace them as well as new screens, charge ports, cameras, buttons, batteries and all those other little components inside your Xperia Z.
